Privacy Policy for LendBook App
LendBook (“the App”) helps individuals track personal money lending — recording loans given to customers, monthly or maturity interest, repayments, and due/overdue reminders. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information.
Information We Collect
The App may collect the following information when used:
- Account information – your email address, full name, and a securely hashed password, used to create and sign in to your account.
- Loan and payment records you enter – customer names, loan amounts, interest rates, start dates, repayment type, and payment history that you record within the App to track your own lending activity.
- Basic device and usage information required for the proper functioning of the App (e.g. app version, error logs).
How We Use the Information
The collected information is used solely for:
- Creating and authenticating your account, including verifying your email address.
- Storing and displaying the loans and payments you record, so you can track amounts lent, interest earned, and payments due or overdue.
- Sending reminders within the App for upcoming or overdue payments.
- Improving the reliability and security of the App.
Data About Your Customers
LendBook allows you to record information about the people you lend money to (such as their name and loan details) for your own personal record-keeping. This information is entered and controlled by you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate right to record and store this information about your customers. LendBook does not independently collect or verify information about your customers beyond what you choose to enter.
Data Sharing
- We do not sell or rent your personal information, or the loan/customer data you enter.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- Information is stored securely with our backend service provider and is not shared with third parties except as required to operate the App (e.g. hosting and database services) or where required by law.
Data Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect stored information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls that ensure each user can only view their own account’s loan and payment data.
Permissions Used
The App requests the following permission:
- Internet – to securely communicate with the backend service and sync your loan and payment data.
The App does not access your camera, location, contacts, or media files.
Data Retention
Your account and the loan/payment data you enter are retained for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your LendBook account and all associated data at any time. To do so, email us at info@onyourterms.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.”
Once verified, we will delete your account, including your email address, full name, and all loan and payment records you have entered, within 30 days of your request. Some information may be retained for a limited period where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes, after which it will also be deleted.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not designed for and should not be used by children under the age of 13.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
